MobilWLAN™ IP Core comprises of both an IEEE 802.11 soft MAC and a Hardware PHY WLAN implementation. It supports 1 & 2 Mbps data rates while also supporting the optional ‘short preamble’ mode in addition to the mandatory ‘long preamble’ mode. This best-in-class solution offers a very low complexity receiver architecture, intelligent sharing of resources, and bit-field optimizations. This leads to an ultra-low gate count and ultra-low-power solution, which drastically reduce cost, extend battery life, and deliver a very small form factor.
